Paratva (परत्व)

Paratva (परत्व) has many meanings. From the link some of the beautiful meanings are old/older which is when we consider time or kala. It also refers to the one of the twenty-four gunas (qualities) meaning priority. It also means solitude in addition to priority. Paratva can also mean excellence.

So it could mean many things!

But the name or nama gets its true meaning from the one who gives the name. And so the meaning of Paratva (परत्व) that was given to me was Superior. I will be eternally grateful to two people who brought alive this name for me.

1. To Purnesh ji (Formerly known as Swami Purnachaitanya ji) who picked this name for me. Without the upadesha by him for the name, it would have been virually impossible for me to to decide amongst a thousand other names! Thank you Swamiji - for the seed of this tree was planted by you.

2. To the jyotisha guru Visti Larsen ji who gave the updesha for picking the shabda or the starting sound from my own individual chart. I was experimenting with so many names by myself and kept moving in circles, but to the exemplary jyotisha brilliance of Vistiji the correct starting alphabet Pa was given. Thank you Vistiji - for the seed was given by you to be planted.

So for me, Varun, the only meaning of Paratva (परत्व) is Superior or the superiority within.
